The Pie Capital of Texas' food choices continue to grow with the arrival of yet another chain restaurant. Kyle will add another "pie" to the city with this Texas-based pizzeria.
Crust Pizza Co., a Woodlands-based pizza spot specializing in Chicago-style "thin crust" pizzas, is expected to be completed in 2024, according to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) filing.
"Our culture and brand is all about inviting families to enjoy our award-winning Chicago-style thin-crust pizza and we know with the quick growth in the area, Kyle would make a perfect spot for one of many locations in Central Texas," said Crust Pizza Co. marketing director Amber Treybig to MySA in an email.
Additional locations being looked at for Crust Pizza Co. expansion are the Texas Hill Country, North Austin, and Northeast San Antonio, Treybig said.
Construction is ready to start at the end of June and will take roughly six months with an estimated completion date of January 10, 2024, according to the TDLR filing. The scope of the work will include an "interior build-out of restaurant within existing retail center."
The cost of the 3,000-square-foot renovation is around $400,000, according to the filing. The pizza spot will be located at 5140 S. FM 1626, Suite 100, Kyle, TX 78640.
Crust Pizza Co. has specialized in Chicago-style thin crust pizzas since 2011. Some starting appetizers include $8 garlic knots, $3 pepperoni rolls, and $8 garlic cheese bread. The pizza company also has a variety of salads like Caesar, Greek, and "Crusted Goat Cheese." Not in the mood for pizza? Crust Pizza Co. has six different types of pasta and four different styles of sandwiches, according to the Crust Pizza Co. menu.
There are currently 22 locations open in Texas and Louisiana, according to the Crust Pizza Co. website. There are also eight locations announced as "coming soon," which includes the Kyle location.
"The area is known for great people & great food, just like here at Crust Pizza Co.," Treybig said. "With a variety of different menu options, including and daily specials, we can't wait to open our doors & welcome the community of Kyle and give back to local schools & organizations!"
